Administration
Director of Interpretation and Exhibitions
The Director of Interpretation and Exhibitions is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing outstanding interpretation programs and exhibitions consistent with BBG's mission and brand. In coordination with VP of Facilities Planning, Construction and Management, the Director of Interpretation and Exhibitions will manage approximately $4M of new interpretive projects over the next four years. Supervises Manager of Interpretation; external contractors; volunteers assigned to program.
Qualifications:
Master's degree preferred in education, museum studies, interpretation, exhibition design, or similar field. Knowledge of horticulture, botany, natural history, or environmental science required. Five years' management experience in interpretive planning and implementation and/or exhibition planning and implementation. Excellent writer and communicator; good research abilities. Must be able to lead teams, develop effective relationships with staff and external vendors; communicate and listen effectively with different audiences. Able to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must be competent with Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of print, graphic, and other media production processes. Weekend work required; travel to conferences and professional events.

Development
Centennial Campaign Manager
REPORTS TO: Managing Director, Centennial Campaign and Major Gifts
The Centennial Campaign Manager assists in the hands-on management of the campaign. This includes helping to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors and developing and maintaining systems for tracking and implementing these activities. This position is part of a growing department of 15+ members that in addition to raising funds for the Centennial Campaign is responsible for raising approximately $5 million in annual operating support.
This is a term position for the course of the campaign.
The Centennial Campaign Manager works in partnership with the Managing Director, Centennial Campaign and Major Gifts, to raise approximately $50 million in private sources for the Centennial Campaign over the next three to five years.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required. 3+ years of development experience; interest in cultural or environmental organizations preferred.
Prior capital campaign and/or major gifts experience highly desired. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, computer, and writing skills required. Raiser's Edge fund-raising software proficiency and familiarity with Lexis Nexus required. Candidate must be detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines, work on multiple projects, and interact with trustees, donors, and staff at all levels. Looking for a creative, energetic team player with a good sense of humor and a strong desire to succeed. Must be available to work evenings and occasional weekends to help meet pressing deadlines and support events during the Garden's peak season (September–October; March–June).

Centennial Campaign Associate/Clerical Associate
REPORTS TO: Managing Director, Centennial Campaign and Major Gifts
The Centennial Campaign Associate provides data management, donor correspondence, and event-related assistance for the campaign team. This position is part of a growing department of 15+ members that in addition to raising $50 million in private sources for the Centennial Campaign is responsible for raising approximately $5 million in annual operating support.

Marketing
Director of Marketing
REPORTS TO: Vice President of Marketing
Responsibilities include marketing of the Garden's programs and products to increase attendance and other earned income, including the publishing department's handbooks and other books; advertising and promotion; management of design and production of institutional advertising and printed projects; electronic marketing, direct mail, and market research; and creation of media sponsorship and promotional partnerships. The director works extensively with internal staff managing the design and production of all the institution's promotional material and advertising. The director of Marketing is the institutional contact for outside licensing opportunities and is the primary institutional contact for all paid media.
Qualifications:
MBA in marketing and 5+ years' experience. Experience in a nonprofit environment, publishing, and/or knowledge of gardening is a plus. Must have experience with managing design and production process of various promotional materials and with electronic marketing. The director of Marketing needs to be a flexible self-starter, team player, and consensus builder. Must be analytical. (This is an upper management position and not a creative position.) Must have demonstrated proficiency in computer skills in all Office Suite applications, database programs, and electronic communication.
