Forsythia Day
Sunday, April 5, 2009, 11 a.m.–5 p.m.
Celebrate the official flower of Brooklyn! Garden members at the Individual level and above can receive a free forsythia plant, while supplies last. Members are also welcome to attend the Forsythia Day reception, which immediately follows the Forsythia Awards Ceremony.
Member Plant Sale Preview
Tuesday, May 5, 2009, 4:30–8:00 p.m.
BBG members receive first pick from the thousands of annuals, perennials, and other plants offered at this popular event.
Members' Summer Hours
Wednesdays, May 27–September 2, 2009, 6–8 p.m.
On these special evenings, BBG remains open an extra two hours for members only! Members can enjoy a twilight stroll through the Garden and dine al fresco at the Terrace Café.
Rose Night
Wednesday, June 3, 2009, 6–8 p.m.
Celebrate the spectacular blooming of BBG's Cranford Rose Garden at this members-only wine-and-cheese reception. Reception from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Members' Sunset Picnics
Wednesdays, June 24, July 29, and August 26, 2009, 6–8 p.m.
Members are welcome to bring their own picnic dinner or purchase one from the Terrace Café, and then spread out on a blanket and enjoy it while taking in a summer sunset. The June picnic is "Bring a Guest Night."
